A farewell meeting has been held for 44 students at the Kumasi Technical University who are going for International Exchange Programmes in institutions Across Europe and Asia, including Germany, Poland, Turkey and China.
This is in fulfilment of the Erasmus+ Exchange Mobility Programme which provides scholarships to support students’ academic pursuits abroad.

The farewell meeting, which was held at the Council Chamber of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), also served as an orientation to the students on what KsTU expects of them when they are away on the Exchange Programmes.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh, and other Senior Management members of the Technical University were president to bid the students goodbye and wish them well.

While students going to Europe will participate in a five-month exchange programme, those heading to China will embark on a two-year academic journey as part of KsTU's collaboration with Chinese institutions.

The breakdown of students and their respective destinations are as follows:
- Eberswalde University of Sustainable Development (HNEE), Germany: 2 students
- Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), Poland: 6 students
- Afyon Kocatepe University (AKU), Turkey: 3 students
- Cankiri Karatekin University (CAKU), Turkey: 2 students
- Sivas Cumhuriyet University (SCU), Turkey: 2 students
- Rizhao Polytechnic (RZPT), China: 14 students; and
- Weifang Vocational College (WFVC), China: 15 students.
