Ghana Nurses and Midwifery Trainees Association (GNMTA) Holds 31st Annual National Delegate Congress

Members of the Ghana Nurses and Midwifery Trainees Association (GNMTA) have held their 31st Annual National Delegate Congress in the Korle-Bu, Accra, from 10th-14th January, 2024.

The Congress, which was held under the theme "Rising to the Challenge: Empowering Training Nurses and Midwives to Shape the Future of Healthcare in Ghana" was held at the Ghana Registered Nurses  and Midwife Association (GRNMA) guest house in Accra.

This Congress, which is an annual event, is one of the most important events on the nurse-midwife trainees association calendar.
It is at the Conference that the Congress, which is the highest decision making body of trainee nurses and midwives, decides on new programmes and policies.

Awards were presented to deserving trainees for playing major roles in their various institutions across Ghana.

Unfortunately, IntercoAfrica's reporter, Seidu Gafaru, popularly known as 'Labisco Gh', could not win the award for Best Student Blogger/Writer of the year though he was a nominee.

Present at the event were dignitaries including Hon. Tina Gifty (Deputy minister for Health), Mrs Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo (GRNMA President), Mrs. Philomina A. N. Woolley. (AG. Registrar, Nursing and Midwifery council), Hon Agripah Opoku (Youth Advisory board member), Mr. Felix Nyante (Head of Health training institutions), Mr. Frank Amoakohene (Former NUGS President), Elijah Ampo-Adjei (Former GNMTA President) And all the outgoing GNMTA  executive including Hon. Adumbisa Pascal outgoing National GNMTA President, some other stick Holder were present.
