Kenyatta University in Kenya has held their 54th Graduation ceremony on 15th December, 2023, at the University’s graduation square.

Speaking at the ceremony on the theme “Scaling Education and Research for Sustainable Development’, the Vice-Chancellor for Kenyatta University, Prof. Paul Wainaina, expressed that the true value of being a Graduate is being innovative. He, thus, advised the graduands to put to use what they have studied and make the university proud.
Mr. Fredrick Ndambuki, the Secretary of State Department for Higher Education and Research, who represented the CS for Education, Hon. Ezekiel Machogu, stated that "The Graduation theme at KU signifies the integration of sustainable development issues into teaching and research strategies. Graduates are equipped to tackle challenges like climate change and biodiversity.”

The Overall Best Student, Kimutai Weldon, in his valedictorian speech, stated that the knowledge they have gained at Kenyatta University has truly helped transformed their communities into a global village. He thanked the university’s scholars for the guidance which now equips them to seize opportunities and thrive in a rapidly expanding world.
