Strathmore University in Kenya has celebrated 20 years of doing Community Outreach Programme (COP). For the 20th anniversary celebration, a number of departments in the University were involved in Community Service activities.

The University Relations and Communications visited Salama Craft Centre, a home for young mothers where they are equipped with skills that allow them to make a decent living in Kibera, the People and Culture and the Finance Department visited Wings of Compassion, a rescue home for teenage girls who are orphaned or highly vulnerable among other departments.

The Community Outreach Programme hinges on #ServiceToSociety, a pillar that the university community has continuously stood on and guides what they do.
