Time With Mr Aboagye Boye, The SHS Teacher Who Uses Plastic Waste for Bags and More

Popularly called Sir Gabby, Mr. Gilbert Aboagye Boye uses waste plastic products to sew bags, netball and volleyball nets, raincoats, flower pots, and many other things that help keep our communities from plastic waste. He has won several awards with his craft, including SDG Youth Awards; and have travelled extensively through that, including Egypt, Uganda and Ethiopia.

Sir Gabby is the CEO of Gabidezin House of Fashion in Kumasi (Boadi), the Capital city of the Ashanti Region of Ghana, where he sews and also trains several apprentices. He is also a professional teacher with a Bachelor's Degree and specializes in Clothing and Textiles, Fashion and Design, and Management in Living.

His story is worth sharing; and we, at IntercoAfrica, are proud to be associated with such a great feat.
