Over 100 street food vendors across 29 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Greater Accra have benefited from a two-day training session organized by the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness as part of its UrbanSafe Project.

The aim of the training was to improve the food safety skills of street vendors in Ghana, based on a research project focusing on 'Innovative Solutions to Urban Street Food Safety Challenges,' spearheaded by Dr. Abigail Adaku and her research team under the OR Tambo Africa Research Chair Initiative (ORTARChI) in Food Science and Technology.
