University of Professional Studies holds Graduation 2023

The University of Professional Studies, Accra has held its 15th Graduation ceremony from Tuesday, October 17 to Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Kofi Ohene-Konadu Auditorium at the university campus. The euphoria around the graduation was that of excitement.

UPSA posted the following on its official Facebook page few days to the main event:

“Graduation is the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and growth for our graduating students. Their journey has been filled with memorable experiences, sacrifices, and the formation of lifelong friendships.”

A valedictorian, Jessica Kwao, expressed that UPSA has equipped them (the graduands) with the weapons needed to be world changers.

1,271 students graduated at the First Session on Tuesday. The graduating students consisted of 134 students from the UPSA Law School and 1,137 students from the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Studies.

A total of 1,063 students from the Faculty of Accounting and Finance graduated with various bachelor degrees and diplomas at the Second Session. The colourful ceremony was graced by the CEO of Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), Mr. Daniel Wilson Addo who underscored the importance of continuous learning for fresh graduates, stating that it is crucial for staying relevant and thriving in the competitive global

1,476 students from the Faculty of Management Studies graduated in the third session. 973 Post-Graduate students also graduated during the fourth session.

Dilys Nana Fosu-Hemaa Ohenebeng, an MPhil Finance graduate, was adjudged the Overall Best Graduating Graduate Student in the two-year programme while Margaret Kontoh-Banahene, a brands and communications graduate, took home the award in the one-year programme.

For the undergraduate level, Gideon Bempoh, a BSc in accounting and finance student claimed the Overall best graduating undergraduate award, while Rebecca Oppong distinguished herself as the Overall Best Graduating Diploma Student.

In all, 25 out of 39 awards were annexed by female graduands.
